Governance and Policies
Educate Together Secondary School Wicklow is governed by a Board of Management in accordance with the Education Act (1998) and Educate Together guidelines. The Board is responsible for the overall management of the school, while day-to-day leadership and operation are carried out by the school leadership team and staff.
The school is committed to good governance, transparency, and continuous improvement. This section provides access to key documents and information that outline how decisions are made, how the school evaluates its work, and how policies are developed, reviewed, and implemented.
The Board of Management works in partnership with the school community to support the effective running of the school. Its role includes strategic planning and development, policy approval and review, financial oversight, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
As part of our commitment to ongoing improvement, ETSS Wicklow engages in School Self-Evaluation (SSE). This process supports reflection on teaching and learning, student experience, and whole-school practice. Inspection reports published by the Department of Education are also available in this section.
School policies are developed in line with Department of Education requirements, the Educate Together ethos, and consultation with members of the school community. Policies are reviewed on a regular basis to ensure they remain relevant and compliant.
In line with best practice, the school publishes information relating to financial reports and voluntary contributions. The school is also committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of students, parents, staff and the wider school community, in accordance with data protection legislation.
