A Permanent Home for ETSS Wicklow

We’re delighted to share that ETSS Wicklow has secured its permanent home in the heart of Wicklow town. The Department of Education has confirmed that our new campus will be built on the site of the former Abbey Community College, with construction set to begin under the Department’s fast-track ADAPT programme.

This purpose-built school will cater for 600 students and include dedicated facilities for students with special educational needs. The project is now on a priority list for accelerated delivery, with a design team working on plans for the new school build as we speak.

Our school community will play a key role in shaping the design, ensuring the new building reflects our core values of collaboration, innovation, and creativity. Principal John Maddock has welcomed the announcement as a “landmark moment” for our school, and we couldn’t agree more.

We look forward to this next chapter and to providing students with a modern, inspiring learning environment that supports their growth, wellbeing, and success.
